About Apple Air Conditioning & Heating
Pete Lattner founded Apple Air Conditioning & Heating in 1997 in West Orange County, building the business on more than 20 years of hands-on industry experience. What started as a small local operation has grown alongside our Central Florida community for more than 30 years, and we have stayed true to the same values the whole way through. Three generations of the Lattner family have worked in this industry, starting with Pete’s father, and that continuity shapes how we treat our customers and our team.
We are a full-service HVAC contractor offering honest communication, quality workmanship, and good old-fashioned service. We are not a franchise or a call center. Instead, we are your neighbors. Our skilled technicians live and work in the same communities we serve, handling residential and commercial air conditioning service, maintenance, repair, and new construction across Orange, Lake, Seminole, Osceola, and Sumter Counties. Customer satisfaction has driven everything we do since 1997, and we measure our success by the strong relationships we build, not the number of jobs we close.
Rooted in Our Community
We love being part of the community in Central Florida, and we look for ways to give back in and out of the workweek. Owner Pete Lattner encourages our whole team to get involved, and we put that into practice through service projects and partnerships with local organizations.
We recently completed our third Habitat for Humanity home in Winter Garden, working alongside partners like Johnstone Supply to help local families move into places of their own. We also partner with the trade programs at Orange Technical College to support the next generation of skilled technicians entering the HVAC industry. For us, this is more than a job. We want to see this town grow right alongside our company, our employees, and our customers.

NATE, which stands for North American Technician Excellence, requires each HVAC service technician to pass rigorous testing that covers heating systems, cooling systems, heat pump service, ventilation, and refrigeration. That means the person working on your system has the technical skills and hands-on experience to diagnose it accurately and get it right the first time.
