In-Depth Background Check

Every member of our team passes a background check before joining Apple AC. We only bring on people we would trust in our own homes.

Since 1997, Apple AC Has Been a Trusted Name for AC Maintenance in Central Florida

Pete Lattner started Apple AC with a simple idea: do the work right, treat people fairly, and answer the phone when they need you. Three generations later, that is still how we run things.

Maintenance is where that shows up most clearly. A tune-up is the one visit where a technician has time to look at the whole system, and while we could use that time to sell you something, we would rather tell you the truth about what your equipment needs and let you decide. Our technicians live in these communities, and we stay current on energy-efficient equipment that keeps energy costs down for the neighbors who have supported us all these years.

We Employ NATE-Certified Technicians

Apple AC goes past the minimum to make sure every technician on our team is genuinely qualified. Each one completes the coursework and testing required to earn certification through the North American Technician Excellence (NATE) program, the highest standard in the HVAC industry.

On a regular AC maintenance visit, that certification means the person checking your equipment knows what a small issue looks like before it turns into a costly breakdown.

Frequently Asked Questions

Maintenance is the easiest service to put off and the one that saves you the most. Here are the questions homeowners ask us most.

Twice a year in Central Florida. Our cooling season runs long and hard on equipment, so a spring visit before the heat arrives and a fall check on the heating side is the right rhythm.

A technician cleans the condenser and evaporator coils, checks refrigerant levels, tests electrical connections and components, measures airflow, clears the condensate drain, and calibrates the thermostat. You get a written summary of what was checked and anything that needs attention.

It helps. Dirty coils, low refrigerant, and a clogged air filter all make your air conditioning unit work harder to reach the same temperature, which shows up on your utility bills every month. A clean system running at peak efficiency uses less electricity to do the same job.

Often, yes. Most manufacturers require documented annual maintenance to keep warranty coverage valid. We provide records of every visit, which is worth holding onto if you ever need to file a claim.

Change your air filter monthly during heavy-use months and keep leaves and grass clippings away from the outdoor unit. Leave the refrigerant, electrical components, and coil cleaning to a technician, since those involve pressurized systems and live current.

Watch for uneven temperatures between rooms, weak airflow, longer run times, a rise in your energy bills, or water pooling near the indoor unit. Any of those is worth a call before it turns into a bigger problem.

We do. Our service agreement covers two scheduled visits a year, priority scheduling, and discounted rates on parts and labor. Download our service contract or give us a call and we will walk you through it.
